Join us for a tour through the recollections of a naval attache to Hong Kong during a dramatic moment in that wonderful city’s history: 2018–2021. The talk will be personal in nature, featuring stories and pictures from CDR Paul Sierleja (Military Professor, US Naval War College), as well as discussion of wider issues of authoritarianism, freedom, and the role of the US. The discussion will be moderated by Carole Petersen (Professor, Richardson School of Law, University of Hawai‘i at Mānoa).
