I am delighted to invite you to join us this Wednesday evening, APRIL 21, 2021 at 7 pm on https://bit.ly/brandtweb for our 40th Brandt Webinar focusing on RAPANUI TEMPLES, PART 1: A History of the Ahu, presented by Cristián Moreno Pakarati who is a Rapanui historian and founder of Ahirenga Research.
After the six years he spent studying at the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile in Santiago, he graduated as the only professional historian dedicated exclusively to Rapa Nui and its cultural and political contexts. Since establishing himself back in Rapa Nui, Moreno Pakarati has authored and co-authored 18 publications related to the post-contact history of Easter Island, including collaborations with the legendary Rapa Nui Journal, the Museo Antropológico Padre Sebastián Englert and the Rapanui Press publisher. He is also one of the Co-founders of the Rapanui Pioneers Society http://rapanuipioneers.com/
This presentation is part of our 2021 series on Hawaiian and Polynesian Temples, including those that measure the sun moving through the Solstices and Equinoxes.
As you may have noticed, last week we had to cancel our presentation on TAHITI TEMPLES: PAPENOʻO: the Complex at Fare Hape and the birthplace of Pere, by esteemed Kūpuna Papa Heifara, because the Wifi was down in French Polynesia! We apologize for the inconvenience and we have rescheduled him for May 26, 2021.
Please share the attached flyers with all of your family, friends, and networks. Mahalo nui loa for all of your support of the history-making Brandt Webinars on Polynesian Ancestral Knowledge!
