Service Request

If this is an emergency please contact:
808-956-8177, Monday-Friday, 8am - 4:30pm.
After 4:30pm, on weeekends, and on holidays please call your hall's RA on-call.
 

We have switched to a new service request system effective January 1st, 2019.

How to submit a service request:
  1. Visit your building's front desk to recieve a service request form.
    •  The form you receive will be based on the type of issue you are submitting for:
      • Maintenance Service Request Form: issues include general maintenance, plumbing, electrical, door lock, laundry, housekeeping, etc.
      • ResNet Service Request Form: issues include network connection (wired or wifi), cable TV, wired telephone.
    • If you have multple maintenance requests, please submit one request form per issue.
  2. Fill out the form with the details of your request. You will need the following information:
    • Your name and UH ID
    • Your phone number and UH email address
    • The building and room number of the location you are submitting for
    • Select the category your issue falls under (categories will be listed on the form)
    • Description of the issue
  3. Double check that the information you've provided is accurate to ensure a timely response
  4. Submit your service request form to the front desk.

Please note: The Residence Hall and Apartment Contract affords the University the right to enter your room during reasonable hours to make repairs and/or alterations.

After you've submitted your request:

ResLife will log your service request and submit to the Operations unit.

You will receive an email when the service request has been received by the Operations unit, and when the service request has been completed or the status of your request has changed.

Front desk hours may be modified during breaks and are closed on Christmas Day and New Year's Day. Please refer to email and signage for these changes.

  • What should I do if my front desk is closed?
    • If your issue is an emergency, call your hall's RA on-call.
    • If it is a non-emergency, please return to the front desk when it re-opens.
  • Can I make changes to a request form I've previously submitted?
    • Yes, please visit your front desk to make any changes to your service request before the request is completed.
  • How long will it take for my request to be completed?
    • Your request will be handled as soon as possible. The amount of time required to make the repair will vary depending on the nature and severity of the issue. Please make sure the information your provide in your service request form is accurate to ensure a timely response.
  • How can I check the status of my request?
    • Status updates will be emailed to your UH email address. If you have any questions, please follow-up at your front desk.
  • How do I know if my request has been completed?
    • You will receive a confirmation email to your UH email address when the repair is completed.
  • Where can I go to receive more assistance?
    • Please visit your front desk if you have any questions or concerns regarding your service request.
