Summer 2024 Positions

Conference Assistant
The Conference Assistant is a member of the Student Housing Services staff team, and is responsible to the Conference Housing Specialist. The Conference Assistant is a university student with a background and experience in customer service and solid communication skills. The Conference Assistant must be dependable, outgoing, flexible, energetic, service oriented and able to solve customer concerns and problems. An appreciation and understanding of cultural diversity is a must, previous residential life experience helpful. The job is a part-time live-in position with the appointment for the summer term.

The Assistant Hospitality Manager is a member of the Student Housing Services staff team, and is responsible to the Conference Housing Specialist and helps to provide support to the Conference team. This position must have a thorough knowledge of the conference program, as well as policies and procedures in order to ensure smooth operations. The Assistant Hospitality Manager is a university student with a background and experience in customer service and solid communication  and administrative skills. The Assistant Hospitality Manager must be dependable, outgoing, flexible, energetic, service oriented and able to solve customer concerns and problems. An appreciation and understanding of cultural diversity is a must, previous residential life experience helpful. The job is a part-time live-in position with the appointment for the summer term.

Year-round Positions

Conference Office Assistant
The Conference Office Assistant is a member of the Student Housing Services staff and Conference Housing office team, and is responsible to the Conference Housing Specialist. The Conference Office Assistant is a current University of Hawaii at Manoa student with a background and experience in customer service and/or hospitality and solid communication skills. The Conference Office Assistant must be dependable, flexible, service oriented with the ability to work under pressure and with tight deadlines. Strong administrative and organizational skills are a must, as well as an appreciation and understanding of cultural diversity. The Conference Office Assistant job is a year-round office position, to include part-time during the academic year and full time during the summer months and all breaks during the academic year. Must be able to work full time through the summer months, no exceptions.
