First PAT Meeting of the Fall ’20 Semester

Welcome to the fall semester! Hope you’ve all had a good few first weeks so far, and that you are all keeping safe.

Since we all went on lockdown last spring, we have all had to recalibrate and reorient ourselves for everyone’s safety. However, we still wanted to continue holding a brave and safe space for all of us to be together and voice our questions and concerns as students of history during this historical time. During the summer, we held “Rethinking Race Matters in Hawaiʻi,” a talk about understandings of race from a Hawaiʻi-centered perspective. It was a great success, and we would like to thank everyone who attended!

This academic year, we want to continue organizing projects that are helpful and meaningful to us all. In light of that, we would like to meet everyone again during our first meeting of the year on Thursday, September 24 at 5:30 pm. We would like to hear your ideas and suggestions on things we can do as an organization this year, and would really appreciate your attendance. Both new and returning members are welcome! Please email patmanoa@hawaii.edu for the Zoom meeting link.
