Bridging Cultures: Enhancing International Understanding and Cooperation Through Education

As part of the Hawaii International Conference on Chinese Studies (HICCS), the Education Symposium on International Understanding and Cooperation aims to deepen understanding andstrengthen ties between the United States and greater China through education. The symposium will take the form of several specialized panels within the HICCS conference. It will highlight the impact of historical and contemporary educational exchanges, promote innovative educational practices, explore the transformative role of technology, and strengthen cross-cultural competencies and partnerships. Join us in Honolulu to build bridges, foster innovation, and promote educational excellence across the Pacific.

Papers may address one or more of the below-listed topics related to the US and greater China. Participants must submit a paper title, an abstract (500 word limit), and a proposal (1000 English word limit or 1500 Chinese character limit). Chinese and English papers are allowed. Please choose Education as the broad topic during paper submission and list the specific topic in the proposal.

Co-presenters are permitted in the case of co-authored research. The paper submission must makethe identities of all participants clear and indicate who will be presenting the paper. Upon acceptance,each presenter must register for the conference separately and pay the full registration fee.
