Aging Information and Resources
• Administration for Community Living (ACL)
The Administration on Community Living is a government site that brings together the resources of the Administration on Aging, the Administration on Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities, and the HHS Office on Disability. It offers information and resources regarding how to remain living in your community if you have a disability or limitation of some kind.
• Administration on Aging (AoA)
The Administration on Aging site offers information and resources on aging, gathered by the federal government, for elders, families, and all interested in aging.
The National Council on Aging (NCOA) is a nonprofit service and advocacy organization representing older adults and the community organizations that serve them.
• AARP
AARP is a non-profit, non-partisan organization that offers lifestyle tips, news and educational information for elders.
• State of Hawai‘i Executive Office on Aging (EOA)
The Executive Office on Aging (EOA) is the designated lead state agency in the coordination of a statewide system of aging and family caregiver support services. EOA oversees all four Area Agencies on Aging (AAA) and offer information and resources for elders, family members, and professionals in the field of aging.
• Honolulu County Aging and Disability Resource Center / Area Agency on Aging
The Elderly Affairs Division (EAD) is the sponsoring agency for the City and County of Honolulu’s Aging and Disability Resources Center (ADRC) Program and is also the designated Area Agency on Aging (AAA) for the island of Oʻahu. Their goal is to help people find assistance for aging, disability and caregiving, such as with Nutrition, Housing, Transportation, and Financing. They also provide outreach and education to the community, encourage and support the aging network in improving and expanding services, and operate a telephone Helpline for consultation, information and referral to services.
• Hawai‘i County Aging and Disability Resource Center / Area Agency on Aging (AAA)
The Hawaii County Aging and Disability Resource Center is the designated Area Agency on Aging (AAA) for the island of Hawaii (Big Island). They are involved in planning, coordination, advocacy, and administration of programs for older persons in the county.
• Kauai County Aging and Disability Resource Center / Agency on Elderly Affairs
The County of Kaua’i Agency on Elderly Affairs (AEA) is the desginated Area Agency on Aging for the island of Kaua`i. Its purpose is to plan, support, and advocate for programs to promote the well-being of Kauai’s older adults and to address and respond to the priority needs of all seniors.
• Maui County Aging and Disability Resource Center / Office on Aging
The Maui County Office on Aging provides services to the islands of Maui, Molokai and Lanai. Their goal is to assist Maui County’s seniors and persons of all ages with disabilities to lead independent, fulfilled, and dignified lives in their own homes and own communities for as long as possible and appropriate by providing access to information, resources, and services.

The USA.gov website offers information and resouces on money, housing, health, consumer protection for seniors and their families.
SeniorNet is a non-profit organization who provides older adults with education on and access to computer technologies. They offer online courses and assistance to older adults who want to learn or learn more about using computers and techonology.
ThirdAge is a site for women 45+ and offers information a healthy body, mind, and spirit.
This site is dedicated to providing seniors with information, news and articles on recent topics, and tools to find helpful services in your area, communication tools to stay connected with friends and family, and caregiver services
Caregiving Support
The Elder Care Locator is a service of the U.S. Administration on Aging connecting older adults and their families to services. You can search for services by location (zip code or city and state) or by topic.
• AgingCare – The Community for Caregivers
AgingCare is a resources for caregivers and offers resources, information, advice, and support for anyone caring for an elder.
• Family Caregiver Alliance National Center on Caregiving
The Family Caregiver Alliance is a non-profit organization that offers information, services, education, research, and advocacy for anyone caring for a family member with a chronic or disabilng medical condition.
The Care Resource Network is a non-profit organization that offers information and resources for anyone dealing with long-term health challenges as well as those caring for them.
• Medifecta: Home Care Companion
Medifecta offers training for family and professional caregivers in the form of DVDs, books, and online content.
The National Caregivers Library contains articles, forms, checklists, and resources for seniors, caregivers, professionals, and employers on a wide array of topics and issues.
• Kupuna Education Center at KCC
The Kupuna Education Center at Kapiolani Community College offers training in person and online for family and professional caregivers, including continuing education courses.
• ADRC Directory of Organizations offering support
This is a direct link to the State of Hawaii Elderly Affairs Division search tool that allows seniors, caregivers, family members, professionals, and anyone seeking services to search a state-wide directory of organizations. Searches can be done by organization name, type of service, category of interest, or geographic location.
• State of Hawaii Adult and Community Care Services/Adult Protective Services
The State of Hawaii Adult Protective and Community Services Branch protective services for vulnerable adults and home and community-based services. Protective services are offered to any vulnerable adult, regardless of income. Branches are located on all islands.

Fraud.org is a project of the National Consumers League (NCL) and provides information and resources for consumers and workers on scams and fraud.

The Women’s Institute for a Secure Retirement (WISER) is non-profit organization focused on the education and advocacy for women in regard to long-term financial issues. They provide information and resources for women in the area of finances and financial planning.

The National Senior Citizens Law Center provides advocacy, litigation, and the education and counseling to low-income elderly and persons with disabilities.

• Alzheimer’s Association: Alzheimer’s Disease and Dementia (national)
The Alzheimer’s Association works to enhance care and support for all those affected by Alzheimer’s and related dementias. They have national and local chapters, and provide information, education, resources, and support for those impacted by Alzheimer’s and related dementias as well as their families and caregivers.

This is a link to the Hawai`i chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association. They work to enhance care and support for all those affected by Alzheimer’s and related dementias. They have national and local chapters, and provide information, education, resources, and support for those impacted by Alzheimer’s and related dementias as well as their families and caregivers.
• Center for Disease Control and Prevention
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention is a federally funded organization that works to prevent and inform the public about diseases. They provide a comprehensive database of information on disease and disease prevention.

‘Imi Hale Native Hawaiian Cancer Network is a program of Papa Ola Lōkahi. Papa Ola Lokahi is part of the Native Hawaiian Healthcare System. They are an organization that serves Native Hawaiians in health-related areas. Their goal is to improve the health status and wellbeing of Native Hawaiians and others by advocating for, initiating and maintaining culturally appropriate strategic actions aimed at improving the physical, mental and spiritual health of Native Hawaiians and their ‘ohana (families). They have branches on five islands.
Located on the Big Island of Hawai`i, Tutu’s House is a non-profit organization that offers education, activities, resources, and information on wellness and healthy aging.

They have two programs – one for kupuna and a second one for caregivers.

The Queen Liliuokalani Trust is a private foundation that provides services and community outreach to Native Hawaiian children and their families.
Lunalilo Homes is a non-profit organization that offers a wide array of services to kupuna and their families as well as the community. These services include residential care, adult day care, respite care, meals-to-go, and caregiver support.

• Native American Elder Justice Initiative (NAEJI) Resource Center
Operated by the International Association for Indigenous Aging (also known as, IA2) since 2022, the NAEJI Resource Center was created to address the lack of culturally appropriate information and community education materials on elder abuse in Indian Country.

• National Hospice and Palliative Care Organization
The National Hospice and Palliative Care Organization (NHPCO) is the largest nonprofit membership organization representing hospice and palliative care programs and professionals in the United States. The organization is committed to improving end of life care and expanding access to hospice care with the goal of profoundly enhancing quality of life for people dying in America and their loved ones.
Hospice Hawaii is a non-profit organization that provides palliative care and support for persons with life-limiting conditions. The website provides information on their services, and resources for elders, their famlies, and caregivers.
St. Francis Hospice is a Catholic Health Care System in Hawaii that provides services and resources to terminally ill patients in their homes, in nursing homes, or at their inpatient facilities in Nuuanu and Ewa. The website provides information about their services and organization.
• Kokua Mau: Hawaii Hospice and Palliative Care Organization
Kokua Mau: Hawaii Hospice and Palliative Care Organization is a statewide hospice and palliative care organization that works to improve the quality of life of terminally ill patients through education, advocacy, and statewide leadership.

Grandparenting
• Grandparenting Help Guide by Helpguide.org
The Grandparenting Help Guide is run by HelpGuide, a non-profit organization. They provide information and resources for grandparents caring for grandchildren.
Grandfacts by AARP provides information to grandparents caring for their grandchildren, and offers national and state-specific information for all 50 states and the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands.

• Ohana Caregivers: Raising Grandchildren
Ohana Caregivers is part of the University of Hawaii’s College of Tropical Agriculture and Human Resources. They provide information for `ohana caregivers, including grandparents caring for their grandchildren. They conduct research about and provide education to all ‘Ohana caregivers.
