Key Details on the Fee Changes
- CBP Form I-94: The new total fee of $30 for aliens applying for a Form I-94 at a land border port of entry consists of the existing $6 fee plus a new H.R. 1 fee of $24. Note that aliens arriving at air or sea ports of entry are generally not required to apply for the I-94 and are not subject to this fee.
- ESTA Authorization: The fee for the Electronic System for Travel Authorization, which is mandatory for most travelers under the Visa Waiver Program (VWP), has increased significantly, replacing the previous $21 fee with a new flat rate of $40.
- EVUS Enrollment: A new $30 fee has been established for enrollment in the Electronic Visa Update System (EVUS). This system is mandatory for certain PRC nationals who hold long-term visitor visas to update their information prior to travel to the U.S.

CBP advises the public that these fee adjustments are legally required under the provisions of the new Act.
