We created a page dedicated to helping our students and campus community understand the key changes, which you can find here: <a href=\"https:\/\/manoa.hawaii.edu\/fas\/federal-financial-aid-changes\/\">Federal Financial Aid Changes<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><!-- FAFAS starts here --><\/p>\n<h3><a href=\"https:\/\/studentaid.gov\/h\/apply-for-aid\/fafsa\">2026-2027 FAFSA<\/a> is now available<\/h3>\n<p><!-- - - Box Menu starts here - - --><\/p>\n<div class=\"container pb-4\">\n<div class=\"card-deck-wrapper\">\n<div class=\"card-deck\"><!-- - BOX 1 starts here - --><\/p>\n<div class=\"card p-3 border border-success rounded\">\n<h3>FAFSA Simplification<\/h3>\n<p>For most students there will be less than half of the questions than on prior FAFSAs. A direct data share from the IRS to the FAFSA has been implemented to simplify the student and parent experience.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p><!-- - BOX 2 starts here - --><\/p>\n<div class=\"card p-3 border border-success rounded\">\n<h3>Contributors<\/h3>\n<p>A contributor is anyone who is required to provide information and consent on the FAFSA. This includes the student and depending on the student\u2019s situation, may also include a parent, parent\u2019s spouse, or student\u2019s spouse.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p><!-- - BOX 3 starts here - --><\/p>\n<div class=\"card p-3 border border-success rounded\">\n<h3>StudentAid.gov Account requirement<\/h3>\n<p>All contributors must have their own <a href=\"https:\/\/studentaid.gov\/fsa-id\/create-account\/launch\">StudentAid.gov Account<\/a> to complete their section of the FAFSA. If you are enrolled in fewer than 12 credits required for your program at UH M\u0101noa, your financial aid may be adjusted to reflect your eligible enrollment. <\/p>\n<p><strong>\ud83d\udcdd Revisions:<\/strong><br \/>\nTo remain in compliance with federal and institutional financial aid regulations, adjustments may be made to your financial aid based on your eligible enrollment.
