EngineeringHI Program

In the spring of 2021, we launched EngineeringHI, an academic mentorship program connecting our engineering undergraduate mentors with students at James B. Castle High School in Kāneʻohe to provide STEM support and 1:1 peer coaching. This pilot program was made possible by a generous grant from the Harold KL Castle Foundation, and has now continued thanks to support from GEAR UP Hawai’i and the Soar Higher grant. We have since expanded the program to serve students at Castle’s feeder school, King Intermediate, providing support at both sites both inside and outside of the classroom.
