National Disaster Preparedness Training Center

Funded by U.S. Department of Homeland Security and the Federal Emergency Management Agency, develops and delivers training courses related to the safety and security of communities, with an emphasis on natural hazards, coastal communities and islands and territories.  The Center conducts research and develops programs for state and local government, NGOs, with an emphasis on vulnerable, at-risk populations and integrates urban and regional planning with hazard risk reduction.  The Center has an extensive outreach and capacity building program throughout the state of Hawaii.
