This concludes the test of the UHM integrated campus-wide UH ALERT emergency communications system.
In an actual emergency, you would be given instructions, updates and, ultimately, the final all-clear notification via emails and text messages (if you have signed up to receive emergency text alerts). Keep your emergency contact information up-to-date at http://www.hawaii.edu/alert.
The official UH Manoa home page at http://manoa.hawaii.edu and social media accounts will be updated to reflect the test (follow us on Facebook and Twitter @uhmanoa). UH Manoa Department of Public Safety social media accounts will also be updated to reflect this test (follow us on Facebook and Twitter @uhmanoasafety).
This TEST is conducted once each semester (this is the fall 2020 test). If you are having technical trouble with UH ALERT, see the article at http://www.hawaii.edu/askus/1363 or send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org.
In addition to signing up for UH Alert, we encourage our community to read through our Emergency Response Guidebook, which provides emergency response and evacuation procedures for a wide variety of incidents, including hurricanes, natural disasters, fires, active shooter incidents, bomb threats, civil disturbances, and more.
