On May 6, 2019 at the Urban Garden Center on Oahu participants learned about different won bok cabbage varieties available and a few ways to add value as well as preserve vegetables. The workshop covered:

    • Won bok cabbage variety selection
    • Vegetable preservation science
    • Hands-on kimchi (salted and fermented vegetable) making
    • Hands-on vegetable pickling

Speakers included: Jensen Uyeda (Oahu Cooperative Extension) and Dr. Lauren Tamamoto (KCC Culinary Innovation Center)
