On March 21, 2019, Extension Agents Robin Shimabuku, Rosemary Gutierrez, and Lynn Nakamura-Tengan presented finding from the Evaluation of New Taro Varieties
Resistant to Taro Leaf Blight in Hawaii project led by Susan Miyasaka. Attendees at the field day were informed about the yields of several taro varieties and were able to participate in a taste-testing of several varieties.
