The Molokai kick off for the GET Local Kids Youth Video Cooking Contest is set for Wednesday, September 11, 2018 at Lanikeha Community Center Hall at 4:30pm. See the flyer for more information.
The purpose of this contest is to increase knowledge of food safety and preparation, enhance understanding of the farm-to-table concept, and strengthen understanding of the importance of buying locally grown products. With that in mind, the goal is to create a 5-7 minute video that showcases a local product (plant or animal) and demonstrates the successful completion of a healthful recipe. All students in Maui County public, private, and home schools in grades 6-12 are invited to participate in the contest.
