Village Program Progress

To represent their progress in learning skills, knowledge, and information to support their transition to becoming a contributing member of society as an adult, members of the Creating a Village club work together to complete a puzzle based on the criteria described in the How it Works section below. The tabs below represent both the knowledge pieces (Head, Heart, Hands, and Health) and the Harmony cards (bravery, cleverness, loyalty, and patience). How it Works
Village Body Puzzle To gain a body puzzle piece, youth will complete tasks around a specific topic area. Tasks will be marked completed through the demonstration of skills and sharing their understanding of new knowledge. The body puzzle is composed of 4 areas with each area connecting to 4 activities:

  • Head
    • Learning (education)
    • Investing (finance)
  • Heart
    • Engaging (civic)
    • Grounding (agriculture)
  • Hands
    • Working (jobs/career)
    • Exploring (transportation/travel)
  • Health
    • Thriving (physical/mental health)
    • Building (home)

Village Complete Puzzle Youth will also need to collect Harmony cards for completing acts of Bravery, Cleverness, Loyalty, and Patience. Cards are collected as a team but can be earned by an individual. Youth need to collect 16 pieces to complete the puzzle. Youth will collect specific colored cards based on the feat accomplished during a particular challenge.
