Wolves at Maui Fair Parade

On October 4th we participated in the Maui county fair parade. We had so much fun with the rest of the 4Her’s on Maui! Then we had our 4-H Spooktacular event on the 19th at the MECO auditorium from 5:30-9:00pm. We had a blast and ate yummy foods, played games, decorated pumpkins, danced, had our costume contest and trunk o treat!! We had so much fun and a lot of great costumes!!

2018 Spooktacular Group Shot

Thank you for attending this year’s Maui Spooktacular, it was a blast! A BIG MAHALO to those who hosted a trunk. We had a total of 12 trunks! We started the night decorating mini pumpkins then the costume contest. There were so many awesome costumes! We then played games, had yummy food and drinks, danced to Electric Slide, Cupid Shuffle, Cha Cha Slide and Baby Shark. But I think they most enjoyed the Trunk o Treat! Of course they did…..all that candy!

The purpose of this contest is to increase knowledge of food safety and preparation, enhance understanding of the farm-to-table concept, and strengthen understanding of the importance of buying locally grown products. Your goal is to create a 5-7 minute video that showcases a local commodity (plant or animal) and demonstrates the successful completion of a healthful recipe. 2018 Maui Fair Parade

Maui 4-H Members Lined Up for Maui Fair Parade

Approximately 85 members of 4-H clubs participated in the Maui Fair parade this year! The Maui County Youth Officers led the group, carrying the Maui 4-H Organization banner. Club members wore their club uniforms and some carried their own club banners as well. Our youngest members, Cloverbuds, joined in the fun as well. The group waved to the crowd and had a great time interacting with each other and the public. Looking forward to next year already!
