Jodi Wilmott sat down with Kanesa Duncan Seraphin for a one-on-one interview at the Sea Hawaii Girls Pipe Surf Contest pre-event “Talk Story” at Surfer, The Bar at North Shore’s Turtle Bay Resort. In front of an audience that included primarily high school girls and their parents, they discussed Kanesa’s world paddleboard championships, the importance of aquatic education in ocean sports, and her ongoing work with CRDG’s Teaching Science as Inquiry (TSI) Aquatic professional development series and the Exploring Our Fluid Earth curriculum, evaluation, and technology research.
