Parking

Parking is free on commencement day, but limited on a first-come, first-served basis.

Carpooling is strongly encouraged.

The Zone 20 lower campus parking structure may fill up quickly. When that parking structure is full, drivers will be directed to park in the lots on the upper main campus. As each lot fills, the attendants will direct drivers to the next available lot. They will continue to do this until all lots are full. Folks coming from upper campus can make their way down to Stan Sheriff Center by crossing Dole Street and proceeding to the elevators/stairs on the top floor of the lower campus parking structure. From there, guests should proceed to the 3rd floor, and graduates should proceed to the ground floor for check-in.

The road from the Waiʻalae gate entrance to the Stan Sheriff Center will be closed before and during the ceremony. Parking is restricted near the ROTC buildings, behind the Stan Sheriff Center, around Les Murakami Baseball Stadium, and in the Music and Law School lots. Student Housing lots are for permit holders only. Reserved stalls are enforced 24/7.

The majority of the ADA stalls are located on the Diamond Head side of the third floor of the lower campus parking structure. A valid Department of Transportation placard is required to park in these stalls.

Shuttles

Parking shuttle service will be provided from 10:30 a.m. - 2:30 p.m for the morning ceremony and 4:00 - 8:00 p.m. for the afternoon ceremony. The shuttle buses are wheelchair accessible and run a continuous route from the Biomedical Science Building to Krauss Circle. The lower campus areas are accessible by crossing Dole Street and proceeding to the elevators/stairs on the top floor of the parking structure. Please be advised that final shuttle pickups may conclude earlier than scheduled depending on passenger demand

All stops along this route will be marked with the RAINBOW SHUTTLE STOP signs.

Here is a map of the shuttle service.

The stops along the shuttle route are:

Passenger Drop-Off and Pick-Up Areas

For everyone’s safety, please avoid dropping off passengers in the middle of the road or in high-traffic areas.

Graduates can be dropped off on the ground floor area between the parking structure and the Athletic Complex and proceed to the loading dock area behind the Stan Sheriff Center. Signs will be posted to direct drivers to this area. This area will be closed when the parking structure has filled and/or during the period when traffic is modified for exiting.

Guests can be dropped off on the third floor of the Diamond Head side of the lower campus Zone 20 parking structure near the Athletic Complex. There, a ramp provides direct access to the main entrance of the Stan Sheriff Center.
