Daisy Church is an animator, artist, and educator with over twenty years of experience working in the entertainment industry. Originally from Delaware, she has lived and worked internationally for her work in television, video games, and education. Her work has been seen on Cartoon Network, HBO, MTV, Adult Swim, Nick Jr, Disney Interactive Games, and Disney Playhouse.
Recently Daisy created and supervised an animated short film and accompanying game for Little Passports’ Stomp the Serengeti! and helped co-author the research paper “Social Robots in Healthcare: Characterizing Privacy Considerations,” published in HRI ’24: Companion of the 2024 ACM/IEEE International Conference on Human-Robot Interaction.
In addition to her professional animation work, Daisy has taught animation for over eleven years, including at Studio Arts College International in Florence, Italy, and most recently, was the Associate Director for 2D Animation at the Academy of Art University in San Francisco, CA.
She currently teaches animation at the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa in the School of Cinematic Arts.
In her spare time, she loves to draw tiki themed art, vintage pinups and mermaids, sprinkled with a dash of geekery. She has sold and exhibited her artwork in art galleries worldwide since 2008 and currently lives on Oahu.
