Ms. Kwan teaches both Cantonese and Mandarin, and pursues research in both Chinese and Southeast Asian linguistics. Her publications include “Ch’ing Chiang Miao Phonology” in the Tsing Hua Journal of Chinese Studies. “A Tentative Glossary of a Black Miao Dialect” is forth-coming.
