The 13th International Conference on Han-Character Education and Research at the University of Hawai’i at Mānoa will be held on February 15-18, 2024. (The graduate student pre-conference forum will be held on February 15.) To register for the conference, please carefully review the following information before starting the registration process at the bottom of this page.

The opening ceremony, keynote speech, and plenary talks will be recorded. All registered participants will have access to the recordings until a certain specified date. No streaming service is available for parallel break-out sessions. All accepted abstracts will be included on the online conference handbook.

Conference registration will open on December 20, 2023
Registration deadline: January 22, 2024

General registration (Before January 22, 2024 11:59 PM Monday, HST)

We use TouchNet for our registration fee payment transactions. It accepts MasterCard, Visa, Discover, and JCB.

Charges will show up as “UHM CALL CONF” on your credit card statement, which stands for “University of Hawai‘i at Mānoa, College of Arts, Languages & Letters Conference.”

Please double-check your entries above before clicking on the “Submit Form” button (only once).

After submitting the registration form, you will be redirected to the TouchNet platform to select your registration type and submit payment.

NOTE: Even if you do not have to submit a payment (e.g., plenary speakers and student volunteers), please go to the TouchNet site to complete your registration; you will not be asked to input credit card information in this case.

To receive a refund for a registration fee, cancellation requests must be submitted via email to ccle@hawaii.edu no later than February 10, 2024. A $5 processing fee may be subtracted from refunds. There are no refunds for cancellation after February 10, 2024 or for conference no-shows.

Valid student ID must be presented during registration pickup onsite. Student rate attendees without valid student ID will not be accepted into the venue.
