Laura Kloepper, PhD Student with HIMB, Featured on BBC for Her Work With False Killer Whales

Congratulations to PhD student Laura Kloepper!

For her research on the echolocation skills of false killer whales, Laura Kloepper was chosen as Paper of the Month in the Journal of Experimental Biology as well as featured in an article on BBC Nature. Then, on Thursday, March 22, her story was a part of Hawaii Public Radio's The Conversation (her interview begins at 47:10). Below is a clipped version of HPR's program that includes only Laura's interview.

Laura has also just recently won a highly competitive NSF Post-Doctoral fellowship. She will be investigating bat echolocation at Brown University.
