Location: Online via Zoom Meetings

General institute information



  1. Faculty or staff member in an academic degree program who can contribute to curriculum decisions in higher education institutions,
  2. Faculty/staff who plan to contribute to program- or institution-level learning assessment.
  3. Individual or teams of 2-3 people.


Fees: $900 per person. Fee waived for UH Mānoa faculty/staff.

Payment deadline: July 15, 2022. Payment instructions:

  1. Complete the application and be admitted.
  2. After you receive an acceptance letter, confirm participation to receive an invoice. A third person can pay on your behalf.
  3. If you pay by check, make the check payable to “University of Hawaiʻi.”

The Institute focuses on active practice of facilitative leadership skills when coordinating learning outcomes assessment projects. Features:

  • Attend all synchronous Zoom meetings on August 5 and 8-12, 2022, 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM HST.
  • Finish all required readings and video recordings before coming to the live session.
  • Fall 2022: Small group meetings (in-person or virtual) and project support
  • Spring 2023


Successful institute completers receive a Certificate of Achievement and a book on assessment, teaching, learning.
