7) Briefly explain the assessment activities that took place in the last 18 months.
In the last 18 months, two assessment tools have been developed for the PhD program. They are: 1) a PhD student exit survey adn 2) a PhD dissertation assessment rubric. The rubric has been developed for committee members to assess the dissertation document as well as oral defense. A third tool, a survey for the outside member, still needs to be developed. The faculty have agreed, however, that this will be useful and this undertaking is scheduled for this semester.

There was only one PhD graduate this last academic year and typical committee procedures were followed. The student met all SLOs.
