11) What was learned from the results?
We remained challenged with improving faculty advisors' documentation and training. New faculty advisors have been added to assist w/ undergraduate advising so that strategizing on ways to improve our compliance rates will be important to address in the coming year.
We also dropped slightly in our new student orientation rates, however it appears that extenuating circumstances involving student status and major declaration problems have contributed to this situation. We are completing individual sessions for those few students who missed the orientation and are enrolled in our program.
12) State how the program used the results or plans to use the results. Please be specific.
We did not make any progress since last year with regard to measurement B. We still have work to do in this area.
We still need to develop a formalized training presentation for undergraduate faculty advisors. There is a presentation developed and used for new BSW faculty advisors but we have not yet developed it as an annual training tool. Similar to our graduate program, it may be helpful to have an updated training powerpoint and faculty advisor quiz available electronically and be submitted to the Student Services Director on an annual basis.
13) Reflect on the assessment process. Is there anything related to assessment procedures your program would do differently next time? What went well?
We had a slight improvement of respondents for Measures C & D; we feel encouraged that we will continue to build upon our current use of mid-program & exit surveys to increase more participant reponses. Also, we have surpassed our benchmarks for students reporting that they are being assisted in their inquiries regarding academic and professional goals.
14) If the program did not engage in assessment activities, please explain.
Or, if the program did engage in assessment activities, please add any other important information here.
