1) Below are your program's student outcomes (SOs). Please add or update as needed.

Because the Student Success Center is not an instructional unit but rather a service unit we do not have Student Outcomes. The mission statement for the Success Center is stated below:

The Student Success Center provides students with the information and skills to be academically successful in their courses. It is a place for students to work with faculty, librarians, mentors, and tutors to meet individually defined learning needs. It will also assist students in finding the help they need to succeed in their academic work. Sinclair Library, as host to The Student Success Center, provides a learning environment that meets the space, computing, and information needs of students and those who work with them.

The Student Success Center provides support, in conjunction with other partners, to help students reach their full academic potential. We offer exam proctoring services and conference rooms for students and small groups to gather and seek to foster an environment in which collaborative learning can take place.

No (skip to question 14)

5) For the period June 1, 2011 to September 30, 2012: State the assessment question(s) and/or assessment goals. Include the student outcomes that were targeted, if applicable.

There were two user satisfaction surveys completed in the Spring 2011 semester (January 2012-May 2012) and were targeted at students who utilized two services offered by the Student Success Center, specifically Exam Proctoring Services and Conference Rooms. Direct links to the surveys can be found below.

Because the Success Center is not an instructional unit but rather a service unit our assessments focus mainly on user satisfaction. The goal of the Exam Proctoring Survey was to evaluate whether or not changes that had been made to the testing room were seen as adequate for test takers. The goal of the Room Reservation survey was to find out if users were satisified with the rooms and if there were any additional equipment they thought were critical to have.
