Alumnus Adam COLDREN (’16)

I have nothing but positive things to say about the time that I spent in the Asian Studies program at the University of Hawai’i.  The diverse disciplines and methodologies that I had access to through the program allowed me to expand my worldview in ways that I never expected.  Additionally, the professors at UH are nothing short of amazing, as they were always engaged in my projects and have a very palpable passion for what they do.  Through my work with them, my subject knowledge, writing, and research skills improved dramatically.  I also had exposure to intelligent and talented peers with whom I could share my research and learn from.  I can further attest that I never took a single boring course at UH!  The Asian Studies program at the University of Hawai’i has prepared me for the future and granted me opportunities that I never would have had otherwise. I cannot recommend this program enough.” I am enrolled in the History Ph.D. program at Michigan State University.
