Angela Tachino joined the American Studies Department in 2020 as administrative staff with the undergraduate program. She earned her B.Ed and Professional Diploma in Secondary Education from University of Hawaii at Manoa. She was a DOE Social Studies teacher for 14 years teaching at the middle/intermediate level. She then worked in the private sector for 10 years in the insurance industry. Prior to coming back to her alma mater to work, she was most recently administrative staff at Kapiolani Community College in the Math and Science Department.
One of the things she enjoys is traveling, and she attributes that to having grown up as a military child who moved every 2-3 years. She lived in South Korea, Japan, Northern California, and Virginia before moving to Hawaii upon her father’s retirement. She will be the first person you contact when calling or send inquiries about the undergraduate program in American Studies. She is also the main administrative
and fiscal specialist for the undergraduate program.
