Aurelia

Aurelia Prosi is an American Studies Ph.D. student and a part of the Women, Gender, and Sexuality Studies Certificate Program. Prior to entering her PhD, she earned both a Master’s degree in Transcultural Studies and a Bachelor’s degree in Asian Studies (Japanese Studies concentration) from the University of Michigan. Her fields of research orbit around transnational transfeminism, mass media studies (with a focus on analyzing the relationship between American imperialism with video games and with fantasy novels), and critical studies of religion and secularism. She is also an avid member of the local graduate student union, Academic Labor United.

When she’s not holed up at the local coffee shop, she’s often cooking, working on poetry, excitedly chattering with her friends, or trying not to overanalyze the media she’s using to relax.
