The Advising Center created a Tiered Access to Advising system to tailor advising to your individual needs. Explore each level below.

We encourage every student to check in with the Advising Center each semester, create an academic plan through graduation, and update that plan each semester. We can help you stay on track and keep on top of  requirements, opportunities, and deadlines.

Our  Manoa Peer Advisors offer one-one-one appointments 45-60+ minutes in length in three areas:

  • Are you an incoming Freshman or Transfer student? Is this your first semester here at UHM?
INITIAL ADVISING will introduce you to UHM and its resources and help your first semester go smoothly.
  • Do you need assistance with registration? Our MPAs offer REGISTRATION ASSISTANCE whenever you need it.
  • Do you need help with ACADEMIC PLANNING? Our MPAs will help you create an academic plan through graduation and can make sure it is complete and correct.

To schedule an appointment, call our Welcome Desk at 808-956-8755 or just visit us at Sinclair 301.  Advising appointments can be made for the same day (if available) or up to one week in advance!

Need to talk to an advisor? We can help you with educational planning and engagement, academic progress, petitions, graduation, and much, much more.  Meeting regularly with a professional Academic Advisor helps you stay on track, get what you want from your education, and graduate on time.
