Welina me ke aloha! I'm Kēhau Newhouse, Coordinator for the UH Mānoa Outreach College on Maui and Ka'ie'ie Transfer Specialist. I provide academic guidance and support for students in Maui Nui (Maui, Moloka'i, and Lana'i) who are interested in completing a bachelor's degree at UH Mānoa either via distance learning or in person at the Mānoa campus. My favorite part of the day is working with students to activate strengths and experiences in overcoming challenges, fulfilling individual potential, and making a difference in the world. I take a holistic approach to advising and enjoy getting to know my students and their goals so we can work towards them together.
I completed my AA in Liberal Arts from UH Maui College, then transferred to Mānoa for my BBA in Business Administration. After returning to Maui, I earned a Master of Human Resource Management through distance education with the University Center-Maui. With over ten years of service to the UH community, I have a wide range of experience incorporating the student perspective, professional support, instruction and advising so we will always find a way to connect the dots. I look forward to helping you realize your goals and bring pride to your 'ohana through a quality college education, right here at home.
Aloha! My name is Shauna Sibonga. My favorite thing to do is to provide academic support to college students by way of Academic Coaching-- note-taking, time and task management, study skills, and helping you as a student and person realize your academic, professional, and personal objectives. Iʻve worked as an Academic Tutor in human anatomy and physiology, an Education Technologist for the College of Tropical Agriculture and Human Resources, as a Program Assistant for Undergraduate Education, and now as part of the MTCC Team! I currently assist students from Kauaʻi Community College, UH Maui College, and Honolulu Community (Fall 19 only).
I earned both a BA in Biology and an M.Ed. in Learning Design & Technology from the College of Education right here at the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa.
In my free time I love to propagate and cultivate succulents! My next endeavor is to germinate directly from seeds. Wish me luck!
