What campus organizations are there?

Chartered Student Organizations (CSOs)

There are six chartered student organizations at the University of Hawaii at Manoa, all funded by student fees. These programs serve the University of Hawaii at Manoa community and you, too, can take part in them.

  • Associated Students of the University of Hawaii (ASUH): the student government that strives to improve the quality of student life
  • Board of Publications (BOP): the board that governs University of Hawaii at Manoa publications: Hawaii Review, Ka Leo O Hawaii, and Ka Lamakua
  • Broadcast Communication Authority (BCA): the board that governs the student-run radio station (KTUH 90.3) and the Student video and Filmmakers’ Association (SVFA)
  • Graduate Student Organization (GSO): a group of graduate students elected to serve the University of Hawaii at Manoa community and to improve the the quality of student life
  • Campus Center Board (CCB): a governing, policy making board for programs, services, and facilities for the Campus Center Complex.  The CCB organizes activities and services aimed at serving the University of Hawaii at Manoa community
  • Student Activity and Program Fee Board (SAPFB): organization that makes recommendations to the Vice Chancellor for Students on how the student activity and program fees are being divided among events and projects created by student clubs and organizations and University of Hawaii at Manoa departments and programs

Registered Independent Organizations (RIOs)

The University of Hawaii at Manoa has over 200 Registered Independent Organizations that serve the campus and the greater community. These organizations and clubs range from public service to recreation to academics to special interest groups; the RIOs list can be found on the Registered Independent Organizations page.
