February 23, 2018: Registration Deadline 

  • All participants must register online by 11:59pm on February 23, 2018
  • There is no charge to register for this event
  • Check email for confirmation of registration by February 28, 2018

March 2, 2018: Workshop Registration Deadline 

  • Register for one of the following optional workshop dates for in-person guidance on your oral or poster presentation by 11:59pm on March 2, 2018
  • Check email for confirmation of workshop registration by March 7, 2018
  • Visit the Workshops page for online resources and dates, times, and locations of in-person sessions

March 16, 2018: Abstract Submission Deadline 

  • Follow these abstract guidelines closely
  • 250 word maximum
  • Email to via this Word document by 11:59pm on March 16, 2018
  • Additional abstract guidance from these online resources: website 1website 2 and website 3
  • Check email for confirmation of abstract submission by March 21, 2018

April 13, 2018: Program Review Deadline

  • A draft of program will be uploaded to the Event Overview page before this deadline
  • This is the FINAL chance to review/edit program submission for the event (eg. abstract, title, etc)
  • Participants MUST email confirmation that program information has been reviewed (even if no changes are required) AND intention to present at event by 11:59pm on April 13, 2018
  • Check email for confirmation of reply by April 18, 2018

April 25, 2018: Poster Printing Deadline (3:00pm)

May 3, 2018: Poster Submission Deadline (10:00am)

  • This deadline is only applicable to participants using early subsized printing through the Undergraduate Showcase or printing through an outside vendor
  • Find information about Preparing My Poster and Requirements to Follow on the Poster Presentation Information page
  • Poster should be in a protective sleeve or case and clearly labeled with presenter’s name
  • Drop off to Sinclair Library 128 (Honors Program Office) by 10:00am on December 7, 2017 (our office is open on weekdays from 9:30am-4:00pm)

May 4, 2018: Undergraduate Showcase

  • All presenters MUST check in and upload oral presentations during the designation registration period, which can be found on the Event Overview page
  • Some tips to prepare for the big day
  • Be courteous and supportive towards fellow presenters:
    • Remain in your presentation room for the entire duration of the session, entering late/leaving early can be disruptive
    • Use breaks between sessions to switch rooms
    • Refrain from talking while peers are presenting
    • Keep volume to a minimum when outside
  • Final reminders will be sent to all presenters the week of the Showcase
