Honors Students Organization was organized to build a sense of unity and community among Honors students.

What is it?

The Honors Students Organization is a Registered Independent Organization (RIO) at the University of Hawaii at Manoa. Membership is open to all students.

Mission

The Honors Students Organization (HSO) provides a voice for students of the Honors Program. It fosters community among Honors students through organizing a calendar of social events. It promotes the Honors Program within the University of Hawaii and to the community through organizing orientation, recruitment, and outreach activities. HSO also serves as liaison between students and the staff of the Honors Program.

Activities

Honors Students Organization was organized to build a sense of unity and community among Honors students. It’s a way for us to come together and get to know one another. At the same time it is a place to learn organizational skills, promote the values of the Honors Program to the University, and to give back to the community through service projects.

HSO regularly holds professional development workshops, schedules hikes around Oahu, and organizes service activities that give back to the community.
