Don’t miss the UH Saves Day Exhibition!
UH Saves Day Exhibition
Wednesday, February 26, 2014
10:30 am – 1:30 pm
The University of Hawai’i at Mānoa Financial Literacy Program will be hosting its 5th Annual UH Saves Day in conjunction with the national America Saves Week in order to encourage our students, faculty and staff to save for big items such as a home, education, retirement or for smaller accounts like an emergency fund. More than 1,000 non-profit organizations, companies, government agencies, educational institutions, religious organizations, and unions are involved in this national campaign with thousands of Americans being reached. Interactive educational exhibits and activities provide a great opportunity to help people in our community to start a personal savings plan, reduce debt and build their wealth.
Exhibitors will share their financial knowledge and expertise using fun, interactive displays. This year’s exhibitors include America Saves, American Savings Bank, Bank of Hawaii, Better Business Bureau of Hawaii, Capitol One 360, Consumer Credit Counseling Service of Hawaii, Department of Commerce and Consumer Affairs Consumer Education, Hawaii Insurance Division & the Office of Securities Commissioner, First Hawaiian Bank, Hawaii HomeOwnership Center, Hawaiian Community Assets, Hawaiian Tel Federal Credit Union, Taxpayer Advocate Service, UH-Federal Credit Union, and UH Mānoa Financial Aid Services.
In addition to the exciting exhibits we will have a scavenger hunt, tons of free giveaways and a photo booth. The “I’m saving for” photo booth will encourage attendees to make a financial savings pledge while capturing some wonderful memories with friends.
