Integrative Studies

Select this interest area if you want to learn about topics of history, society, politics, culture and economics of specific geographical areas, such as the United States, the Asian continent, the Pacific Islands, and Hawai´i. These topics are often also examined in terms of women, the development of modern feminism in women’s roles and may also include literature,  philosophy, and arts. This interest area also encompasses the interdisciplinary and comparative study of North American racial and ethnic groups or can focus on the origins, prevention and resolution of inter‐group and international conflict. Potential careers in this area include teaching, research, writing, community services, human resources, policy development, lobbying, and public policy.
