This semester we would like to acknowledge outstanding cadets within the Warrior Battalion. Each week, we will be honoring one cadet that has exceeded the standard.
This week, the Warrior Battalion would like to acknowledge Cadet Andrew Tokuda!
Name: Cadet Tokuda
Class: MS 2 (Sophomore)
Hometown: Honolulu, Hawaii
School: University of Hawaii at Manoa
Major: Global Environmental Sciences
“I decided to commit myself to the UH Warrior Battalion because I believe this program will guide me through the process of self-discovery, both physically and mentally. Every since I was a child, I always had the passion for exploring new areas. These experiences proved to be substantial lessons, which would become applicable later in my life.
Becoming a leader is no exception. It will require you to step out of your comfort zone and challenge you to make critical decisions. By going through the ROTC program, I expect to be enlightened by what I am truly capable of. I was also inspired by my father’s stories when he was an MP. From the unparalleled relationships with his comrades to appreciating the little things in life, each component of his experience triggered an inner desire to serve my country. In the future, I aspire to commission as a well-rounded Army Officer and become an expert in my field.”
Congratulations CDT Tokuda on your accomplishments! Continue to grow and keep up the great work. IKAIKA IMUA!
