Ariella Aïsha Azoulay is Professor of Modern Culture and Media in the Department of Comparative Literature at Brown University. She is the author of Potential History: Unlearning Imperialism; Aïm Deüelle Lüski and Horizontal Photography; and Civil Imagination: The Political Ontology of Photography, among other books. Azoulay received her PhD from Tel Aviv University and her MA from Université Paris VIII Saint Denis.
