Located a couple blocks away from UH campus, the Hawaiian Humane Society is an animal welfare organization that admit all types of animals and does their best in finding a home for each one. They offer a variety of volunteer positions working with cats, dogs, and other small animals.
The zoo is a great place to get experience with a large variety of wildlife and animals of many different shapes and sizes.
