Veterinary Mentorship Program
The Pre-Vet Mentorship Program was started by the former Pre-Vet Club president, Page Iida, and our club advisor, Dr. Ashley Stokes. The goal of this program is to introduce students to the diverse field of veterinary medicine and allow them to gain experience in their area of interest. Under the guidance of an assigned veterinarian, students will observe and, if the veterinarian allows, participate in clinical procedures and case studies. Students will be expected to volunteer for a minimum of 50 hours per semester or 100 hours per summer. Students will also be expected to follow the Mentorship Program Guidelines & Rules (found on pages 5 and 6 of the Student Sign Up Sheet), as well as all rules set by the affiliated veterinarian. Further detail about this program may be accessed in the links below.
Veterinarians and students are highly encouraged to sign up for this program as soon as possible! It is expected that this program will be launched no later than the beginning of the Spring 2013 semester. Any questions, concerns, or suggestions may be addressed to the Pre-Vet Club email : email@example.com.
