Maraming, maraming salamat to all those who attended the 2 Usap Ng Bayan (Talk of the Town) open forum, discussion style events we hosted after General Meetings #2-3.
We deeply valued hearing your thoughts on these important issues that concern the Filipino-American Community. Your voices matter. We hope you continue to have these discussions amongst each other. We are proud of having provided such safe spaces for meaningful thought and discussion. Know that even though Usap Ng Bayan is over (for this semester at least), us officers will always be here for you.

Kumusta kayong lahat! Welcome sa bagong semestre. For our first Spring 2021 social, Katipunan proudly presents: Valentine's Day Movie Nights! For these first two upcoming Fridays in February, Katipunan will be hosting screenings of the following short & feature length films starting at 5:30 pm HST:

Stop by to cry and laugh with us, as well as support our local Filipino American filmmakers! Each week's short film will be followed with a Q&A panel featuring that film's respective filmmaker. Douglas Haban and Katherine Wong are both Filipino American filmmakers and Creative Media majors from UHM's very own Academy of Creative Media (ACM).
2020 Katipunan's Got Talent (KGT)
Kumusta kayong lahat! Maligayang Pasko at maraming salamat para sa inyong supporta sa ngayong semestre. Our end of the year event, Katipunan's Got Talent (KGT) will be this Friday, December 11th, 2020 at 5:30 PM HST. We will be livestreaming all performances through Zoom as well as introducing our new officers for the 2020-2021 term.
The link will be sent out via the listserv prior to the event. If you are not on the listserv but would like to attend or have any questions please contact us at katipunan.club@gmail.com. (Reminder: all students in 100-200 level FIL courses are required to attend unless stated otherwise by their professor.) We look forward to seeing you there!

35th Annual Friendship Games
We are excited to announce that the Katipunan Club has been invited to Cal State Fullerton Pilipinx American Student Association’s 35th Annual Friendship Games online! The event will be live-streamed on YouTube on their channel "csufpasa" on October 23 and 24, both days starting at 2PM HST.
Katipunan will be competing against other Filipino organizations from colleges and universities on the mainland, mainly California. For more information about Friendship games head to their website friendshipgames.net and if you have any questions, email us at Katipunan.club@gmail.com
COVID Karaoke Funtest!
COVID blues? Why not sing your heart out instead? We are excited to announce the very first COVID Karaoke "Funtest!". Open to all regardless of age, not only for Filipinos, from anywhere in the world! Perform an original song of any genre in any Philippine language (Ilokano, Tagalog, Cebuano, etc) or Original Pilipino Music (OPM) in English. Background music should be minus one; no live band or instruments. To join, simply upload your video on their website. (More details on that to follow).
