Uday "AJ" Patil is a junior researcher (junior data scientist) working on substance abuse and mental health projects. AJ is interested in using health informatics and data science techniques to solve pressing epidemiological and public health problems. Currently, he is currently working on a Ph.D. in Public Health from the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, and he went on to earn a Master of Arts in Psychology from Teachers College, Columbia University. AJ enjoys artistic pursuits in his spare time and is very grateful to spend time with the wonderful students, staff, and faculty in the Office of Public Health Studies.
