This year Delta Omega will hold its annual Distinguished Lecture on Tuesday, April 8 from 5:00pm-7:00pm in Biomed B-103. Reception to follow.
Professor Deane E. Neubauer earned his MA and PhD at Yale University and retired from the University of Hawai‘i with the rank of Emeritus Professor after 33 years of dedicated service. While at UH, Professor Neubauer served as Chair of the Department of Political Science, Researcher in the Social Sciences Research Institute, Founding Dean of the College of Social Sciences, Founding Director of the Globalization Research Center, Chancellor of UH Mānoa, and Vice President of Academic Affairs for the 10-campus UH System.
Professor Neubauer has been a consultant for the RAND Corporation and Chaired the Policy and Planning Committee of the Western Association of Schools and Colleges. He currently serves as International Advisor to the National Center for University Entrance Examinations, Tokyo, Japan.
His research interests lie in health policy, political economy, higher education, and globalization. His work explores globalizations phenomena as a major vector of social change throughout the world.
