Respondent Support

The PAU Violence Program Respondent support staff can assist students who have been accused of sexual misconduct by another student. We recognize that the grievance process can be confusing and stressful. The Respondent Support staff member can answer questions students have about their notification letters, the investigation process, findings and appeal procedures.

It is important to note that the respondent support staff is NOT legally required to maintain confidentiality, and does NOT provide any legal advice to the respondent. Any legal advice should be sought out by an attorney.

Confidential counseling is available for all students at the UHM Counseling and Student Development Center.
