Co-Sponsoring Future Speakers by Organizations

If a speaker your organization has nominated is selected, the committee for the Distinguished Lecture Series will work with you and your colleagues to organize the visit. Arrangements vary from visit to visit, but we usually ask the cosponsoring organization to set up the second event in the speaker's visit, the more specialized talk. Your organization would be asked to provide the venue, discuss the topic with the speaker ahead of time, and perhaps host a reception. These events often allow the speaker to explore in more detail the issues he or she has dealt with in the public talk, and can be especially rewarding. In general, the cosponsoring organization shares its expertise with the organizers for the Distinguished Lecture Series and helps us to host the speaker.
