
The Osher Reentry Scholarships provide tuition assistance to "reentry" adult students who are completing their first undergraduate degree. University of Hawaii at Manoa awarded the Academic Year 2007-2008 Inaugural Osher Reentry Scholarships to 25 returning adult students.
We are currently accepting applications for the Academic Year Fall 2009-Spring 2010. The 2009-2010 application is due postmarked by April 6, 2009. Visit our How to Apply section to learn more and view the application.
General Eligibility:
Osher Reentry Scholarship applicants must meet ALL of the following eligibility criteria:
- This scholarship is open to UH Manoa undergraduates ideally between the ages of 25-50.
- Applicant must have a gap of at least five (5) years between high school-to-college enrollment OR a five year cumulative gap in their college education.
- Be either: a newly admitted reentry student to UH Manoa (including community college transfer students); or a currently enrolled UH Manoa undergraduate.
- Must be an enrolled, classified UH Manoa student working towards a first bachelor’s degree.
- Must demonstrate financial need. Applicants are encouraged to file a FAFSA. Those filing FAFSA will be given priority consideration.
- Must demonstrate the potential to succeed in his or her course of study (2.5 minimum gpa).
- May be either a full-time (12 or more credits) or part-time (6 credits minimum) enrolled student.
- The Osher Reentry Scholarship is not available for:
- International students (U.S. Permanent Residents are eligible)
- Students enrolled exclusively in online courses.
