Neal Milner, Head Ombuds Officer, has been affiliated with the University of Hawaii since 1972, most of that time as a political science professor. Among his many other University activities, he has been a department chair, a union negotiator, assistant dean, as well as director of the UH Program on Conflict Resolution (PCR). He has worked as a mediator and facilitator both at the University and the community. His writings include studies of conflict ranging from the Kalama Valley protests, leasehold conversion, informal justice, and the politics of rights. He is a member of the board of trustees of the Law and Society Association and is a member of the International Ombudsman Association. |
