A play by Tatsuhiro Oshiro, The Cocktail Party, will be premiering right here in Hawaii on October 26, 2011, at the Hawaii Okinawa Center. Mr. Oshiro is the first author from Okinawa to be awarded the Akutagawa Prize, a prestigious Japanese literary award, with this work in 1967. Now it has been transformed into a play that will be performed in English. The first performance will be held at the Hawaii Okinawa Center on Wednesday, October 26, 2011, at 7pm at the Hawaii Okinawa Center. Cost of admission is $15 (general) and $10 for seniors (65 and over)/students.
