Okinawan Music and Identity: From Local to Global

The Center for Okinawan Studies are co-sponsors with the Enthnomusicology Association for this inaugural lecture “Words on Music: An Ethnomusicology Speaker Series.”   

We welcome Dr. David Hughes, School of Oriental and African Studies, University of London who will give a talk titled “Okinawan Music and Identity: From Local to Global”  at 3:30pm on Monday, March 28th in the Tokioka Room, Moore Hall 319. Admission is free and we welcome students, faculty, and community members to hear a rare lecture of Okinawan music
